Sinethemba Mtanga stage name "Elan Sonic" (An Afro Deep, Soulful House producer) and DJ.

 

 

Born '89. Born and raised in Port Elizabeth EC South Africa. Expresses himself through the world of music. Approaching every DJ Set and production as a window to his soul.

 

 

Sinethemba began writhing Kwaito music late 2001 at the age of 12 years, after being inspired by the likes of Msawawa, Mzambia who were the same age as him.

 

 

With no success in creating kwaito, Sinethemba had to depart from is art. 3 Years later he joined the field band at his High School as a  marimba player, where he learnt music theory which would help in producing his own music.

 

 

His Dj Skills were self-taught when an influential DJ Duo from his neighborhood, "Deep Unit" gave him CDJ's to practice. Going on to perform at events around his city at venues like News Cafe, Chief Ngqoko, Oom Cola and 469 Bar Lounge.

 

 

In 2012, Sinethemba was selected as of 90 up and coming producers across South Africa to  be mentored by Oskido under the "Oskido I Believe Programme". Under the he was funded with studio equipment and helped set up his own company " La Dolce Vita Entertainment" where he records and release artists from his neighborhood, Motherwell.

 

 

His music has been played on various community radio stations across the Nelson Mandela Bay like,  KQ FM, Bay FM and Radio L2K, to mention a few.

 

 

In 2015 he saw it fit to formalize his music  education by enrolling at the Soul Candi Institute of Music where he graduated with a Certificate in Digital Music Composition and Production in May of 2016.

In June 2016, after a smashing performance at the Ikasi Experence, Sinethemba was chosen as the Ikasi artist of the week.

​

In August 2016, One of his songs "Colourful Love" featuring Aluta debuted at number 9 on I love S.A House Music weekly top 10 charts.

Sinethemba is now currently enrolled for an NQF Level 5 qualification in radio production and presenting at Radio Active Productions Publishing, and his also working on his EP his that will be released on all major digital download stores, mid June.
